Chaldo-Assyrians

Chaldo-Assyrians are an ethnoreligious group originating from the ancient Mesopotamian region, primarily in modern-day Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Iran. They identify as Assyrians or Chaldeans, with their own distinct language (Eastern Aramaic dialects) and Christian faith traditions, mainly Chaldean Catholic, Assyrian Church of the East, and Syriac Orthodox. They have a rich cultural heritage rooted in ancient Assyria and Babylon. Despite historical challenges, including displacement and conflicts, they maintain their identity through language, religion, and community practices. They are recognized for their resilience and contributions to Middle Eastern history and culture.
