Chaldean Empire

The Chaldean Empire, also known as the Neo-Babylonian Empire, was a short-lived but influential empire in Mesopotamia around 626-539 BCE. It was centered in Babylon and is best known for its impressive architecture, including the Hanging Gardens, and for reviving Babylonian culture and power after previous decline. The empire was led by rulers like Nebuchadnezzar II, who expanded its territory and contributed to advancements in science, mathematics, and astronomy. It eventually fell to the Persian Empire under Cyrus the Great in 539 BCE, marking the end of its independent rule.
