Chagatay Khanate

The Chagatai Khanate was a Central Asian empire established in the early 13th century by Chagatai, a son of Genghis Khan. It encompassed parts of modern-day Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The khanate served as a regional power and a cultural hub for Mongol and Persian influences. Over time, it fragmented into smaller khanates, maintaining political significance but losing unified control. Its history reflects the spread of Mongol rule and the blending of various cultures across Central Asia during the medieval period.
