Chad–Cameroon Pipeline

The Chad–Cameroon Pipeline is a major oil pipeline that transports crude oil from Chad, a landlocked country in Central Africa, to a port in Cameroon for export. It spans approximately 1,200 kilometers and was built to help Chad access global markets since it has limited ports. The pipeline enhances Chad’s ability to sell its oil, boosting economic growth, while Cameroon benefits from transit fees and energy supplies. Opened in 2003, the project involved international investments and agreements, representing a significant infrastructure effort to facilitate regional economic development and cooperation.
