Cetuximab Monotherapy

Cetuximab monotherapy is a targeted cancer treatment that uses a medication called cetuximab to attack certain types of cancer cells, mainly colorectal and head and neck cancers. It works by binding to a specific protein called EGFR on the cancer cells' surface, blocking signals that promote tumor growth and survival. As a single therapy, it’s used when standard treatments aren’t suitable or have been exhausted. Cetuximab can help slow or shrink tumors and may improve symptoms, but it can also cause side effects, such as skin rashes and flu-like symptoms.
