Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) are trained healthcare providers who are specially qualified to support healthy pregnant women during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. They are certified by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) after completing specific education, supervised clinical experience, and passing a competency exam. CPMs typically provide prenatal care, attend home or birth center births, and offer postpartum support.
