Centrosymmetric Structures
Centrosymmetric structures are arrangements of atoms or molecules that are symmetric with respect to a central point. This means that if you draw an imaginary point in the middle, every part of the structure has a mirror image directly opposite it at an equal distance from that center. In essence, rotating or flipping the structure around this central point results in the same appearance. This symmetry often influences the physical and chemical properties of materials, such as their optical behavior and how they interact with light or other electromagnetic waves.
