Central Asian deserts

Central Asian deserts are arid regions located in countries like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and parts of neighboring nations. Characterized by very low rainfall, extreme temperature variations, and sparse vegetation, these deserts include the Karakum, Kyzylkum, and Dasht-i-Lut. They feature expansive sandy plains, gravelly surfaces, and some salt flats. Despite harsh conditions, these deserts support unique ecosystems and have historically been part of trade routes such as the Silk Road. However, their extreme dryness limits agriculture and settlement, making them some of the most challenging environments on Earth.
