CentOS Foundation
The CentOS Foundation was a nonprofit organization that supported the development of CentOS, an open-source operating system based on Linux, used mainly for servers. It provided resources, community coordination, and stability to ensure the software remained reliable and freely accessible. Essentially, it helped maintain a free, enterprise-level platform for hosting websites and applications, making powerful computing tools available to businesses and developers without licensing costs. (Note: As of 2020, CentOS Linux has shifted to CentOS Stream, and the original CentOS project is managed differently under Red Hat.)
