The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Established under the Affordable Care Act, its goal is to test new ways to deliver and pay for healthcare that improve quality and reduce costs for Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. By launching various healthcare models, CMMI aims to find effective solutions that can be adopted nationwide, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for patients while making healthcare more sustainable and efficient.
