Cencellada
Cencellada, also known as hoarfrost, occurs when water vapor in the air directly deposits as ice crystals on cold surfaces during clear, calm nights. This process, called sublimation, happens when temperatures are below freezing, causing moisture to bypass the liquid stage and turn directly into ice. The result is a delicate, crystalline coating that often appears like frost or a white, icy layer on plants, windows, and other surfaces. Cencellada creates a beautiful, often intricate frost pattern, indicating very cold conditions and high humidity in the air just above freezing temperatures.
