Celts (Gauls)

The Celts, including the Gauls, were a group of ancient peoples originating in Central Europe around 1200 BCE, known for their distinct language, art, and cultural practices. They expanded across parts of modern-day France, the UK, and other regions, often forming tribal societies with skilled warriors and artisans. The Gauls specifically inhabited what is now France and Belgium before being conquered by the Romans in the 1st century BCE. Despite their conquest, Celtic cultural influences persisted, and today, the descendants of Celtic peoples maintain a rich heritage reflected in language, festivals, and traditions.
