Cell stress response
Cell stress response is the way cells adapt to challenges like heat, toxins, or lack of nutrients. When stressed, cells activate specific mechanisms to protect and repair themselves, such as producing special proteins called stress proteins that help maintain function and prevent damage. This response helps cells survive difficult conditions and maintain overall health of tissues and organs. If the stress is too severe or prolonged, however, it can lead to cell damage or death, which may contribute to diseases. Essentially, the cell stress response is a survival strategy to cope with adverse environments.
