CEGEPs

CEGEPs (Collège d’enseignement général et professionnel) are public colleges in Quebec, Canada, serving as a bridge between high school and university or the workforce. They offer two- or three-year programs that combine general education, technical training, and career preparation. Graduates receive a diploma called DEC (Diplôme d’études collégiales), which can be used to pursue university studies or enter the workforce. CEGEPs are distinct from universities, focusing on both academic and practical skills, and help students transition smoothly from secondary education to higher education or employment.
