CDR (Comités de Defensa del Referèndum)

The Comités de Defensa del Referéndum (CDR) are grassroots organizations in Catalonia created to promote and support the independence referendum. Comprising local residents, these committees work on mobilizing communities, spreading information, and encouraging civic participation to advance the goal of Catalonia becoming an independent state. They operate independently from government authorities and are a key part of civil society efforts advocating for self-determination through organized, non-violent means.
