CCUS

CCUS stands for Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage. It’s a technology designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industries and power plants by capturing carbon dioxide (CO₂) before it escapes into the atmosphere. The captured CO₂ can then be either used in methods like enhanced oil recovery or mineralized into stable rock formations underground for long-term storage. This process helps lower the environmental impact of fossil fuel use while supporting existing infrastructure, playing a key role in efforts to mitigate climate change by keeping harmful emissions out of the air.
