CCS research projects
CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) research projects focus on developing technologies to capture carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sources and power plants, preventing it from entering the atmosphere. These projects explore methods to efficiently capture CO₂, transport it safely, and inject it underground into deep rock formations for long-term storage. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gases responsible for climate change while enabling continued use of various energy sources. Ongoing research also addresses costs, safety, and environmental impacts to make CCS a viable, large-scale climate mitigation tool.
