CCRT (Continuous Cardiac Rhythm Therapy)

Continuous Cardiac Rhythm Therapy (CCRT) is a treatment approach used to manage irregular heart rhythms, especially in patients at risk of sudden cardiac arrest. It combines device therapies like implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac pacing to continuously monitor the heart's electrical activity. If dangerous arrhythmias occur, the device can deliver shocks or pacing to restore normal rhythm automatically. CCRT aims to prevent sudden cardiac death, improve heart function, and ensure the heart beats regularly, providing ongoing, proactive management of abnormal heart rhythms with minimal discomfort and intervention.
