CBF Measurement Techniques
Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF) measurement techniques assess how much blood reaches the brain. Common methods include arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI, which uses magnetic signals from water in the blood to create detailed images without contrast agents; and perfusion CT, which injects a special dye to track blood flow. These techniques help doctors evaluate brain health, detect issues like strokes or ischemia, and monitor treatment effectiveness by providing quantitative data on blood circulation in brain tissues.
