Causal Relations

Causal relations describe how one event or factor directly influences or brings about another. If A causes B, then changes in A will produce changes in B. For example, pressing the accelerator (A) causes a car to speed up (B). Understanding causality helps us determine how things are connected and predict outcomes by identifying which factors lead to specific results. It’s about recognizing the cause-and-effect link between variables, rather than just noticing that they happen together.
