Causal Determinism

Causal determinism is the idea that every event, including human actions, is determined by preceding events and conditions, following the laws of nature. This raises questions about free will: if our choices are predetermined, can we truly be free in our decisions? Additionally, divine foreknowledge—the belief that a deity knows everything that will happen—complicates this further. If God knows our future choices, are those choices truly ours, or are they already set? Causal determinism challenges our understanding of morality, responsibility, and freedom in light of these philosophical and theological debates.
