Catur Varna

Catur Varna is an ancient Hindu social classification dividing society into four main groups: Brahmins (priests and teachers), Kshatriyas (warriors and rulers), Vaishyas (merchants and farmers), and Shudras (laborers and service providers). This system was designed to organize social roles based on skills and duties, promoting harmony and stability. Over time, it became a complex social structure impacting various aspects of life and was historically linked to hereditary birth. While its origins and application are debated today, it reflects traditional ideas about occupational roles and societal organization in early Indian culture.
