CATIE study

The CATIE (Clinical Antipsychotic Trials of Intervention Effectiveness) study was a large research project that compared the effectiveness and side effects of different medications used to treat schizophrenia, a serious mental health condition. It aimed to find which drugs worked best for reducing symptoms and helping people stay on their medication longer. The study found that while some medications had fewer side effects, all required careful monitoring, and there was no one-size-fits-all solution. Results helped healthcare providers make more informed choices about schizophrenia treatment based on individual needs.
