cathode ray tubes
A cathode ray tube (CRT) is a device that uses electron beams to create images on a screen. Inside, an electron gun emits a stream of electrons towards a phosphorescent screen. Magnetic or electric fields steer the electron beam to paint the image line by line. When electrons hit the screen, they cause the phosphors to glow, forming visible pictures. CRTs were commonly used in older television sets and computer monitors, and they rely on principles of electron physics and electromagnetic fields to control and display images accurately.
