Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)

A Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) is an electronic display device used in older televisions and computer monitors. It consists of a vacuum tube with an electron gun that emits a stream of electrons toward a phosphorescent screen. The inside of the screen is coated with tiny particles that glow when struck by electrons, creating images. Magnetic or electrostatic fields direct the electron stream to paint the screen line by line, forming pictures. CRTs rely on precise electron control and phosphor technology to produce sharp, color images, and have largely been replaced by flat-panel displays like LCD and OLED screens.
