Cassie Gaines was an American singer known for her work as a backup vocalist with the rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. She was the younger sister of singer Ronnie Van Zant, the band's original lead vocalist. Cassie contributed her singing talents during the 1970s, adding depth to the band's harmonies.
