Cascadia Rising

Cascadia Rising is a large-scale emergency preparedness exercise focused on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, a tectonic boundary off the Pacific Northwest coast. This region is at risk of significant earthquakes and tsunamis. The exercise involves coordinating responses between local, state, and federal agencies, as well as community organizations, to test and improve emergency plans. Through realistic scenarios, participants learn how to manage resources, communicate effectively, and ensure public safety in the event of a major disaster. Ultimately, it aims to strengthen resilience and readiness among communities in the face of natural threats.
