Carload Freight
Carload freight refers to the transportation of a single shipment that fills an entire train car, typically used for large quantities of goods from one shipper to one destination. It allows for efficient, cost-effective transport of sizable cargo like raw materials or bulk commodities. The term distinguishes these full-car shipments from less-than-carload (LCL) freight, which involves smaller, consolidated shipments from multiple shippers. Carload freight simplifies logistics, reduces handling, and often results in faster delivery for large-volume consignments.
