CARIS AMP (AUV Motion Processing) is a software tool used to improve the accuracy of underwater survey data collected by Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). When AUVs gather sonar data, vehicle movements like tilting or drifting can cause errors. CARIS AMP analyzes the AUV's motion data and corrects these disturbances, enhancing the quality of the seabed maps.
