Cardiovascular MRI
Cardiovascular MRI is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed pictures of the heart and blood vessels. It helps doctors assess the heart’s structure, function, blood flow, and identify abnormalities or damage from conditions like heart disease or strokes. The procedure is safe, does not involve radiation, and provides high-resolution images that aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Patients simply lie still inside a large scanner while the images are taken, often with the help of contrast agents to enhance visibility of specific tissues.
