Carcharodontosaurus

Carcharodontosaurus was a large, carnivorous dinosaur that lived about 100 million years ago during the mid-Cretaceous period. Named for its sharp, saw-tooth-like teeth ("carchar" meaning "sharp" and "odontosaurus" meaning "tooth lizard"), it measured around 40-45 feet long and weighed several tons. As a top predator, it likely hunted large herbivorous dinosaurs in Africa. Its strong jaw and powerful build made it a formidable eater, and its fossils help scientists understand the diversity of predatory dinosaurs during that era.
