carbon-neutral fuel
Carbon-neutral fuel is a type of fuel that, when produced and used, does not increase the overall amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This is achieved by balancing the carbon dioxide (CO₂) emitted during combustion with an equivalent amount of CO₂ captured earlier or offset through other means. For example, fuels made from renewable sources like plants or agricultural waste absorb CO₂ as they grow, and their use releases the same amount, resulting in a net-zero effect on atmospheric CO₂ levels. Such fuels aim to reduce the environmental impact of energy consumption while supporting existing infrastructure.
