Carbon Nanotube Field-Effect Transistors (CNTFETs)

Carbon Nanotube Field-Effect Transistors (CNTFETs) are advanced electronic devices that use tiny tubes made from carbon atoms—called carbon nanotubes—to control electrical current. These nanotubes are extremely small and have excellent electrical properties, allowing CNTFETs to switch on and off very efficiently. They can perform the same functions as traditional transistors but often with faster speed, lower power consumption, and improved performance. CNTFETs are promising for next-generation electronics, such as faster computers and flexible devices, due to their unique combination of miniaturization and high efficiency.
