carbon footprints
A carbon footprint measures the total greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, that are released into the atmosphere by our daily activities, such as driving, energy use, and food consumption. It is usually expressed in units of carbon dioxide equivalents (CO₂e). A larger footprint indicates greater contribution to climate change. Understanding our carbon footprint helps us recognize how individual and collective actions impact the environment, guiding us toward more sustainable choices like reducing energy use, choosing renewable sources, or consuming less meat to lower our overall contribution to global warming.
