Carbon dioxide suppression
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) suppression involves reducing or controlling CO₂ levels in the body or environment to prevent adverse effects. In medical settings, ventilators or anesthesia machines may intentionally lower CO₂ levels in a patient’s blood to influence brain activity or manage certain conditions. Environmentally, CO₂ suppression refers to methods that capture or reduce CO₂ emissions to combat climate change. The goal is to maintain balance—preventing excessive CO₂ buildup that can lead to health issues or environmental harm, while ensuring normal physiological or ecological functions are preserved.
