Captain Scott
Captain Robert Falcon Scott was a British explorer who led expeditions to Antarctica in the early 20th century. He is best known for his 1910-1913 Terra Nova Expedition, during which he aimed to be the first to reach the South Pole. Despite enduring extreme cold, difficult conditions, and limited supplies, Scott and his team arrived at the Pole in January 1912, only to find that Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen had beaten them there. Tragically, Scott and his remaining team members died on the return journey. His expedition highlighted human resilience and the severe challenges of polar exploration.
