Capacity of Minors

Capacity of minors refers to the legal ability of individuals under the age of 18 to make decisions and enter into contracts. Generally, minors are considered to have limited capacity because they may not fully understand the consequences of their actions. This means that agreements made by minors can often be voided or canceled, protecting them from making unwise decisions. However, there are exceptions for certain contracts, like those for necessities (food, shelter), where minors may be held accountable. The law aims to strike a balance between protecting minors and allowing them some autonomy.
