Capacitive pressure sensors detect changes in pressure by measuring variations in electrical capacitance. They consist of two conductive plates separated by a flexible insulating material, called a dielectric. When pressure is applied, the distance between the plates changes, altering the capacitance. This change is measured electronically, allowing precise determination of pressure levels.
