
Capacitive Microphones
Capacitive microphones, also known as condenser microphones, capture sound by converting sound waves into electrical signals using a capacitor. This capacitor has two parts: a fixed plate and a thin, flexible diaphragm. When sound waves hit the diaphragm, it moves slightly, changing the distance between the plates and altering the capacitor’s electrical properties. This change is then amplified to produce an audio signal. Capacitive microphones are known for their high sensitivity and accurate sound reproduction, making them ideal for professional recording, broadcasting, and high-quality audio applications.
