Capability goals

Capability goals refer to targeted improvements in an organization’s skills, resources, or systems to achieve better performance. They focus on building or enhancing specific abilities—such as technology, processes, or employee skills—that enable the organization to meet its strategic objectives. Unlike outcome goals, which focus on results like sales or customer satisfaction, capability goals aim to develop the internal strengths necessary to deliver those results consistently. Think of them as investments in an organization’s "muscles" that make it more efficient, adaptable, and capable of successfully tackling future challenges.
