Capa de Ozono

The Capa de Ozono, or ozone layer, is a protective layer of ozone molecules located in the Earth's stratosphere, about 10 to 30 miles above the surface. It absorbs most of the Sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, preventing excessive UV exposure that can cause skin cancer, cataracts, and harm to ecosystems. Human activities, such as releasing certain chemicals like CFCs, have damaged this layer, creating "holes" that reduce its protective capacity. Protecting the ozone layer is vital for maintaining healthy life and environmental balance worldwide.
