Cantus Planus
Cantus Planus, commonly known as flat feet, occurs when the arch of the foot is lowered or absent, causing the entire sole to come into contact with the ground. This alignment can lead to altered biomechanics, potentially resulting in foot pain, ankle trouble, or increased stress on other parts of the lower limbs. While some individuals with flat feet experience no issues, others may develop discomfort or movement problems. It can be present from childhood or develop over time and may be managed with supportive footwear, orthotics, or exercises.
