Cantabric War
The Cantabric War, also called the Cantabrian Wars (29–19 BC), was a conflict between the Roman Empire and the Cantabri and Astures tribes in northern Spain. These tribes resisted Roman expansion and control over their lands. The Romans aimed to subjugate and incorporate these territories into their empire, leading to a series of military campaigns. After tough fighting, Rome eventually succeeded, bringing the region under Roman rule and integrating it into the empire's vast territory. The war marked the final phase of Roman conquest in Spain, solidifying their dominance in the Iberian Peninsula.
