Cannabinol
Cannabinol (CBN) is a naturally occurring compound found in cannabis plants. It forms when THC, the primary psychoactive component, oxidizes and degrades over time or when exposed to heat and light. CBN has mild psychoactive effects, but is mostly known for its potential sedative properties, which may help with sleep. Unlike THC, CBN is less intoxicating and is often researched for its possible therapeutic benefits, such as pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects. While still under scientific study, CBN is gaining interest as a component that could offer benefits without strong psychoactive effects.
