Canine rabies

Canine rabies is a deadly viral disease that affects dogs and can be transmitted to humans through bites or scratches. It attacks the nervous system, leading to symptoms like confusion, aggression, paralysis, and ultimately death if not treated promptly. The virus spreads via saliva from an infected animal, often after it shows signs of illness. Vaccinating dogs regularly is the most effective way to prevent rabies in both animals and humans. If bitten by an unknown or possibly rabid dog, immediate medical attention and post-exposure prophylaxis are crucial to prevent the disease.
