Candlestick Park
Candlestick Park was a famous sports stadium in San Francisco, opened in 1960 and closed in 2019. It primarily hosted Major League Baseball games for the San Francisco Giants and NFL football games for the San Francisco 49ers. Known for its distinctive shape resembling a candlestick, the stadium was iconic for hosting memorable moments in sports history. It had a seating capacity of around 42,000 for baseball and 68,000 for football. After its closure, the site was demolished to make way for a new stadium complex, but Candlestick Park remains a significant symbol in San Francisco's sports heritage.
