Cancer Action Network

The Cancer Action Network (CAN) is the advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society. It mobilizes community members to influence public policies that prevent cancer, improve treatment, and support patients and their families. CAN works to advocate for funding for cancer research, access to quality healthcare, tobacco control, and reduce environmental and workplace carcinogens. Through grassroots lobbying, public education, and policy initiatives, CAN aims to create systemic changes that decrease cancer incidence and improve quality of life for those affected. It empowers individuals and communities to participate in shaping health policies aligned with cancer prevention and care.
