Canadian Library Association (CLA)

The Canadian Library Association (CLA) was a national organization that supported and represented libraries, librarians, and library workers across Canada. Its goal was to promote the value of libraries, advance access to information and learning, and foster professional development. The CLA provided resources, advocacy, and networking opportunities to strengthen library services and literacy nationwide. In 2016, the CLA officially disbanded, and its activities and functions have since been taken over by other organizations dedicated to library and information services in Canada.
