Canadian Language Commission

The Canadian Language Commission was an organization established to promote and protect both Canada's official languages—English and French. It aimed to ensure these languages could be used effectively in government, education, and public services. The commission supported language policies, encouraged bilingualism, and provided guidance on language use across the country. Although it was created as a federal initiative, the commission was eventually replaced by other government bodies, such as the Office of the Commissioner of Official Languages, which continue to uphold Canada's language rights and diversity.
