Canadian goose
The Canadian Goose, also known as the Canada Goose, is a large migratory bird recognizable by its black head and neck, white chinstrap, and brown body. It’s common across North America, especially in Canada and northern parts of the U.S., and is known for its V-shaped flying formations during migration. These geese thrive in parks, lakes, and wetlands. They are highly adaptable, often seen in urban areas, where their presence can sometimes lead to conflicts with humans due to their droppings and aggressive behavior during nesting season. Despite this, they play an important role in their ecosystems.
